Family of retired Oklahoma Co. Sheriff killed in officer-involved shooting demands justice
LINCOLN COUNTY, Okla. – A retired Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Lieutenant is dead after an officer-involved shooting over the weekend in Lincoln County. His family says the system failed him as he struggled with a mental health crisis.
Steve Pence, 71, died Sunday on his property in Luther after the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said troopers and a Lincoln County deputy approached him while he was armed.
