OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — What might seem like a small gesture of kindness to some was monumental to the parents of a young boy with autism.
Little Beckett Bell spent 60 days in a hospital NICU at birth.
“He was born at about 32 weeks,” said his mother, Lisa. Fluid was building on Beckett’s lungs in the womb. “He should not have survived the first 24 hours of his life. But, by the grace of God, he is here; he made it,” she said.
Beckett was later diagnosed with autism. He battled years of chronic lung infections, and sometimes suffers seizures – but this fighter is unstoppable!
Beckett told our news crew all about his recent trip to the dentist. “How many teeth did you lose?” Heather Holeman asked. “Six!” he replied, showing us inside his mouth…
