One person is dead after being struck by a train last evening near the railroad tracks by West Tecumseh Road, just east of Flood Avenue in Norman, police said. Emergency crews stayed on scene for hours as investigators combed through debris and documented the area. The fatal incident forced nearby road closures and sent drivers into detours during the evening commute.
