OHP shares video after car crashes into trooper’s patrol car while directing traffic

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (KOKH) — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol released video after a car struck a trooper’s patrol car while the trooper was directing traffic on Monday.

Trooper Tyler Shelby and an Oklahoma Turnpike Authority (OTA) worker were directing traffic on Monday off the H.E. Bailey Turnpike due to a grass fire in the area when a driver slammed into the back of trooper Shelby’s car.

Both Shelby and the OTA worker were able to get out of the way, according to OHP, and the three people inside the vehicle were transported to the hospital. OHP said all three occupants are expected to survive…
