DEL CITY, Okla. (KFOR) — Metro firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire at an apartment complex in Del City overnight.
The call to respond to the Sunnyview Apartments near Southeast 44th and Sunnylane came in around 2:00 a.m. Friday morning. A News 4 photojournalist on the scene noted heavy smoke across the complex as crews worked to put out the flames.
Oklahoma City Fire Battalion Chief Greg Lindsay says the fire started in a vacant unit on the first floor an apartment building in the complex. When crews arrived, Lindsay said the fire had already extended to the upper floors of the building and spread to multiple units…
