Intended fight at Santa Fe High School leads to loaded gun discovery, two students arrested

EDMOND, Okla. (KFOR) — Two students were taken into custody on Wednesday morning at Edmond Santa Fe High School after an intended fight was halted, and a loaded gun was found inside a student’s backpack.

In an email to parents, Santa Fe High School Principal Jason Hayes said that several students gathered in a back hall with the intention of fighting. Administrators and school resource officers stepped in before it could escalate. Officers detained two students who were involved in the confrontation.
