Shooting during domestic call leaves Piedmont officer with minor injuries

PIEDMONT, OKLA. (KOKH) — Late Wednesday evening, there was a domestic disturbance reported near Meadowlark Lane. Piedmont police officers responded to the scene and were met with gunfire from the suspect.

One patrol car was struck by the bullets, and an officer sustained minor injuries from glass and fragments hitting his face. The officer was transported to a hospital, treated, and has been released.

With assistance from the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Piedmont officers secured the area. The female victim of the domestic dispute was then transported for a medical evaluation…
