Amtrak Horror at Indian Hills Crossing Leaves Pedestrian Dead in Moore

A person was struck and killed by an Amtrak train at the Indian Hills Road railroad crossing in Moore on Saturday, according to police, turning a routine weekend afternoon into a deadly scene that shut down the busy crossing for hours.

Emergency crews blocked off the area as first responders and the Oklahoma medical examiner worked the scene. Officials had not released the victim’s identity as of Saturday night.

Moore police told News 9 that the incident involved an Amtrak train at the Indian Hills Road crossing. The roadway at the crossing stayed closed while first responders cleared the scene and the medical examiner conducted its on-site investigation, according to the station.
