Cleveland County sheriff investigating 19-year-old’s death as homicide

The case of a missing 19-year-old man is now being investigated as a homicide after his body was found in rural Cleveland County in late February.

Around 12:25 p.m., Feb. 24, the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a person who’d been found dead at 16201 Banner Road in the county’s south side. Arriving deputies and investigators confirmed the deceased individual was Gabriel Quadre Butler, who had been reported missing by his family days earlier.
