Amazon suspends employees at second warehouse after News 4 uncovers new tornado shelter complaint

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — A second Amazon warehouse is now facing accusations of forcing delivery drivers outside during a tornado warning—after News 4 uncovered new claims from a driver at an Illinois warehouse, days after reporting a similar incident in Oklahoma City.

After News 4 brought the newest claims to Amazon’s attention, a spokesperson said the company found information that appears to support the claims and has suspended the employees involved while investigating.

Oklahoma sees record start to tornado season

Last week, News 4 reported several Amazon Flex drivers in Oklahoma City recorded video showing warehouse staff shutting doors on drivers trying to seek shelter as tornado sirens sounded.
