OKC and Norman fire crews contain garage fire in Norman after smoke seen for miles

NORMAN, Okla. (KOKH) — Norman and Oklahoma City fire crews responded to a home in Northeast Norman after a fire broke out Saturday afternoon.

Thick black smoke could be seen for miles around north Norman around 3 p.m. on Saturday. Firefighters from both Norman and Oklahoma City responded to the fire near 60th SE and Franklin Road in Norman.

Witnesses said the fire started in a small garage where the homeowner had some small engine equipment and quickly engulfed the outbuilding…
