Suspect arrested in Oklahoma for allegedly stealing thousands from elderly woman in Pueblo County

(PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo.) — A woman has been arrested in Oklahoma by the U.S. Marshals on a warrant for fraud after she allegedly charged tens of thousands of dollars on credit cards belonging to an elderly woman for whom she was a caretaker.

According to the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO), 39-year-old Trisha Wilda was arrested on Tuesday, March 24, in Norman, Okla. after Pueblo County Sheriff’s detectives learned of her whereabouts and contacted law enforcement in Norman, who took her into custody. PCSO said Wilda was arrested on a warrant for theft from an at-risk person, criminal exploitation of an at-risk person, and identity theft.

PCSO said detectives have been investigating Wilda in connection to a fraud case involving a 96-year-old woman, for whom Wilda was a caretaker.
