Neal Center for Justice calls for resignation of OK County Jail Trust Chairman
OKLAHOMA CITY – A formal complaint against the Oklahoma County Jail Trust Chairman Jim Holman will be filed by the Neal Center for Justice announced Sunday, calling for his resignation.
The organization is pointing to the alleged issue of unilateral employee raises even after the Board voted to reject those same raises.
If substantiated, the complaint identifies multiple violations of Oklahoma law, financial oversight and official conduct, to which then the group formally calls for:
- Immediate resignation of Chairman Jim Holman
- Referral to the Oklahoma County District Attorney for criminal investigation
- Full independent review of all unauthorized financial actions
“The rule of law requires that no individual—regardless of position—can override the lawful vote of a governing board and expend public funds without authorization. At the request of Oklahoma County citizens, we are advocating for accountability. This directly impacts hundreds of Oklahoma County taxpayers and represents a serious breach of public trust,” said an organization spokesperson.
