A routine Friday morning drive turned tragic at the intersection of Newcastle Road and MacArthur Boulevard in Oklahoma City, where a bicyclist was struck by a vehicle and killed, police said. Officers arrived to find the rider with severe injuries, and the cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash shut down lanes and bogged down the early commute along the busy corridor while investigators worked.
According to KOKH, the victim has not yet been publicly identified. Police told the station that the driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
