Damage from high-winds more than 80 mph on Friday night

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — There was high-wind damage in Oklahoma City, Shawnee, Minco, Tuttle, Mustang, Norman, Moore, and across the western part of the state on Friday night.

Thousands of Oklahomans lost power for several hours, along with hail and flash flooding.

Shawnee experienced extreme damage and lots of high winds. Many trees fell, and there was damage to buildings.

The campus of Oklahoma City Community College is closed on Saturday due to damage.

Workers with ladders were up late trying to secure part of the college’s buildings. Metal shedding and insulation were scattered across the ground.
