OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – The Oklahoma County Detention Center (OCDC) is mourning the loss of one of its own after announcing the loss of Officer Clinton Vaught, a National Guard corporal.
According to OCDC, Vaught passed away while serving on active duty at Fort Benning, Georgia.
OCDC says Vaught was an outstanding detention officer and model employee, “This is an immeasurable loss for our agency,” said Tim Kimrey, Oklahoma County Detention Center Jail Administrator. “Clint embodied service in every sense of the word, serving both his community and his country with honor, integrity, and dedication. We are incredibly proud of his commitment and sacrifice, and we will never forget the impact he had on those around him.”

Vaught will be missed by family, friends, and fellow service members for giving his life in service to our nation.
Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond took to his “X” platform, expressing his sentiment, “Wendy and I are saddened over the tragic loss of Detention Officer Clinton Vaught. Our prayers are with his family members and friends who are grieving his passing. May he rest in peace.”…
