Norman homeless encampment cleanup sparks finger-pointing among agencies

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (KOKH) — Confusion continues over who is in charge of cleanup and enforcement at a homeless encampment on state-owned land in Norman, where city, county, and state agencies have offered conflicting answers, and the effort is now paused.

Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office officials said multiple agencies, including the Norman Police Department, met earlier this month to outline an outreach-first plan.
