OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Two former employees of Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City now face felony charges after allegedly posting sale ads to Facebook for cemetery plots, then taking the money for themselves.
Syvila Schneider and Akhilesh Lala are accused of embezzling over a million dollars and exploiting the elderly.
“It’s a really terrible time to pull a scam on somebody,” said Jack Mitchel with Mitchell-Wiede Funeral Home.
