NORMAN, Okla. (KOKH) — A new endowment fund has been created to help keep the Norman Music Festival free for years to come.
The Norman Music Alliance Inc., producer of the Norman Music Festival, announced the establishment of the Festival Forever Fund, a permanent nonprofit endowment at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation. The invested endowment will award grants back to the Norman Music Alliance each year to support continued production of the festival in perpetuity, providing a permanent source of annual funding intended to keep the event free and accessible.
“We love the raw energy and the shoulder-to-shoulder spirit of a Main Street crowd as much as anyone, but let’s be real, independent art doesn’t pay for itself with good vibes,” said Shari Jackson, executive director of the Norman Music Alliance. “To keep the Norman Music Festival a free, premier cultural cornerstone for the next generation, we’re inviting the community to help us build a more sustainable safety net. A gift to the Festival Forever Fund isn’t just a donation; it’s a legacy investment in the creative soul of our city.”…
