OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Authorities confirmed to First Alert 6 that one person has died and another person was hurt as the result of a fire at an apartment building in West Omaha.
Omaha Fire responded to a fire call at an apartment building near 115th Street and West Dodge Road on Wednesday afternoon. The fire was reported at about 1:20 p.m. Wednesday at 114th and Davenport streets.
A dispatcher confirmed that emergency personnel had taken one person from the scene to the hospital. OFD Assistant Fire Chief Scott Fitzpatrick said in an update at the scene that the person was transported in critical condition to the trauma center at CHI-Bergan Mercy hospital.
