Here’s when you can shoot off fireworks in Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – As Independence Day approaches, the Omaha Police Department is reminding citizens of the fireworks ordinance in the city.

Fireworks may be sold in the Omaha-metro area by authorized vendors from Sunday, June 28 through Saturday, July 4.

Fireworks can be set off from Thursday, July 2 through Saturday, July 4, from noon to 11 p.m. daily.

Age requirements and prohibited items

Those handling fireworks must be 16 years or older. Those between the ages of 12 and 15 can discharge fireworks under the supervision of an adult 19 or older…
