OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Here’s a list of activities and events coming up in the Omaha metro this weekend.
It’s one of Omaha’s biggest events — the Memorial Park Concert and Fireworks Show on Friday. The free family-friendly experience starts at 6:30 p.m., but people will begin securing their spots at 5 a.m. Smokey Robinson will perform at 8:30 p.m., shortly after rock band CAKE, before a fireworks display at about 10 p.m. Free Ollie the Trolley rides from Dundee and $1.25 ORBT rides from Westroads Mall will run to the park. This is the first weekend to visit Nebraskaland: Celebrating 100 Years Outdoors at The Durham Museum. The new exhibit highlights 100 years of Nebraska’s outdoor magazine through photography, rare artifacts and stories about the people who helped shape the publication. Hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon-4 p.m. Sunday. The exhibit runs through Oct. 18. The museum also will host One Enchanted Evening with Omaha Broadway Bar from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday…
