OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT/Gray News) – Two young brothers from Nebraska are traumatized after police say they were abducted off the street by armed strangers and threatened with harm if they didn’t help with an alleged revenge plot.
Brothers Sky and Sevyn, ages 9 and 10, were walking a path they regularly use to get to the convenience store near their home last Saturday when Omaha Police say two armed strangers ordered them into a car. Prosecutors described the incident as “any parent’s worst nightmare.”
The suspects in the case were identified by police as 19-year-old Juantez Ruffin and 18-year-old James Barnes. Investigators say at the time of the incident, they were armed with an AR-15 and other weapons and threatened to hurt Sky and Sevyn.
Authorities say Ruffin and Barnes told the brothers that someone had “snitched” on the suspects’ friend and that the person was going to “pay with blood.” They then allegedly told the boys they needed to knock on the door of the person who “snitched” and ask to use their phone before taking the phone and running…
