LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A Nebraska State Penitentiary inmate serving time for assault and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony has died.
The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services said 45-year-old Thomas Jones died Sunday at a Lincoln hospital.
Jones’ sentence began on Sept. 23, 2011. He was serving a 50-year sentence out of Douglas County for first-degree assault, second-degree assault and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony…
