OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Cloud cover and showers have quickly exited the area and temperatures have warmed rapidly as a result. Temps will be cooler than the past few days but still plenty hot as we peak in the mid 90s. The heat index values will still get into the lower 100s due to the high dew points.
Heads up to a layer of wildfire smoke that will likely impact our area today and tomorrow as fires continue to burn in the pacific northwest. That will likely create hazy sky and could impact our air quality at times today and tomorrow. We’ll see how that evolves
The overnight hours should be rather quiet with temperatures cooling a bit more into the mid 70s by early Wednesday…
