Man sentenced after missing child found by authorities

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – One of two suspects involved in a missing child case was sentenced on Thursday.

Diondray Meridy, 34, was sentenced to serve six to 11 years for violating a custody order, kidnapping, and resisting arrest. He was given 372 days credit for time served.

Meridy and Chaan Wichar, 26, were accused of moving a child to different homes to avoid an immediate custody order.

DCSO says authorities interviewed the parents on multiple occasions, and the parents gave false information as to the whereabouts of the child…
