Omaha archdiocese to honor Father Flanagan’s path to sainthood with Mass of Thanksgiving

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The Archdiocese of Omaha is planning to celebrate the progression of Father Flanagan along the path to sainthood.

In March, Pope Leo XIV officially bestowed Flanagan, the founder of Boys Town, with the title of “Venerable Servant of God” — a significant step in the progression to declaring someone a saint in the Catholic Church.

At the time, the archdiocese vowed to have a Mass of Thanksgiving to mark the occasion.

The Mass of Thanksgiving starts at 4:30 p.m. You can watch via the livestream below, which is expected to start at 4 p.m.
