OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Signs are going up on Omaha trails after residents pushed the city for years to add signage marking locations along the trail system.
Not every trail has the signs yet. City officials say installation is ongoing.
Years in the making
Vanessa Urbach has been asking the city for trail signage for about eight years. She is part of the Safe Trails Initiative, a group that has pushed the city to add signage along Omaha’s trails.
“It was surprising, ‘cause it’s actually happening. So actually seeing the signs, it was like a great moment, because it’s all this work that’s finally actually happening,” Urbach said…
