OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Nearly 80 animals, including a zebra, seized from a West Omaha home in July now belong to the Nebraska Humane Society.
A judge denied a request from Nicholas Sakis asking the court to stop the state from adopting out or euthanizing any of the animals while his case played out.
A couple months back, the court ordered the Humane Society to take all the animals unless Sakis paid for the cost of their care.
That estimated cost totaled more than $112,000…
