The Omaha Public Power District Board of Directors gave the utility’s management team the go-ahead to work with a developer on the purchase of its former downtown headquarters at its monthly meeting yesterday.
OPPD leaders presented a proposal to the board, recommending the sale of Energy Plaza at 444 South 16th Street to Urban Village for $13,250,875. Urban Village, an Omaha-based real estate developer, is planning a mixed-use residential and commercial project on the site.
