COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (WOWT) – A man was arrested on multiple counts after a two-hour standoff in a Council Bluffs apartment.
Just before 6 a.m. Sunday morning, Council Bluffs Police officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Harrison Street in reference to a man in violation of a restraining order.
Upon arrival at the scene, a woman told officers that the suspect, identified as 42-year-old Jonathon Chestnut, was in her apartment. CBPD says Chestnut told officers he was armed with a gun and refused to come out.
