Early Saturday morning the Stanton County Sheriff’s office was notified of an apparent accident on Highway 275 near Humbug Creek just west of Pilger.
According to Sheriff Mike Unger, a 2019 Ford pickup was located in the creek partially submerged after it had been eastbound on Highway 275, left the roadway went through a guard rail and entered the creek.
No occupants were located and the area was checked with a drone. Airbags had deployed and fuel was leaking into the waterway…
