GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KOLN) – An Omaha mother of six is walking 450 miles across Nebraska to raise $50,000 for female empowerment scholarships and to support female veterans.
Kerry Chester left Gering on Sept. 12 and has logged more than 310 miles heading east toward her home in Omaha, despite physical tolls along the way.
“No feet are really prepared to walk 450 miles,” Chester said. “I’m pretty sure it’s intact. It was hanging on for dear life there for a minute.”…
