OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Some tension today in a Gretna neighborhood. It comes after the city carried through with the removal of a longstanding tree.
As chainsaw sounds echoed down the tree-lined streets, across the street, neighbor Lori Bratka made enough noise that Sarpy County deputies got called in to keep emotions in check.
“I was just upset the tree was going. It’s sad,” Bratka said. When asked if she was trying to stop it, Bratka said, “Not physically, just talking to them and telling them not to cut it.”…
