Two Cutting Incidents in Omaha Leave Individuals Injured

Omaha, NE — Over the weekend, the Omaha Police Department (OPD) responded to two separate cutting incidents across the city, resulting in injuries to individuals involved. Here are the details of these incidents:

The initial incident occurred at 11:17 p.m. on Saturday near Bedford Plaza and 105th Plaza. Officers were dispatched to the scene where they found 21-year-old Jaquez Spigner-Davis with an injury to his hand.

OPD swiftly took action, arresting 23-year-old Malaysia Griffin in connection with this incident. Griffin now faces charges of felony assault and the use of a weapon to commit a felony. Further investigations are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding this event.

The second cutting incident took place on Sunday at 2:47 a.m. near the intersection of 13th and Mike Fahey. Officers arrived at the scene and discovered 40-year-old Jeremy Bywater with minor injuries. Bywater reported that he had been cut by an unknown assailant.
