In a tragic turn of events, Omaha police have arrested a 48-year-old man, Alvaro Escamilla Sr., in connection with a stabbing that resulted in the death of a 55-year-old man, Steve Tangeman. The incident unfolded on Wednesday night in the vicinity of 15th and Y streets, shortly before 8 p.m.
Upon responding to the scene, officers discovered an adult male victim with a stab wound. The victim, later identified as Steve Tangeman, was transported to the University of Nebraska Medical Center in critical condition. Tragically, despite medical efforts, Tangeman was pronounced dead.
Omaha police have leveled several charges against Alvaro Escamilla Sr. in relation to this incident.
