Omaha man accused of deadly stabbing charged in two cases

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The man arrested this week in connection with a south Omaha stabbing appeared in court Friday morning to answer to charges in two cases. Alvaro Escamilla, Sr., 48, was formally charged with manslaughter, along with use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person, and drug possession in the stabbing death of Steve Tangeman, 55.
