Lottery warning to check tickets after $50,000 prize goes unclaimed and it was bought at a convenience store

PEOPLE hoping to luck out playing the lotto should double check their tickets in one state.

A winning Nebraska lottery ticket is worth $50,000 and it’s still out there, just waiting to be claimed.

The winning lottery ticket was bought this past week on February 3 at Stop N Shop #8 in the town of Lincoln, Nebraska.

The winning numbers for the draw were 09, 11, 27, 59, 66 and the red ball was 19.

ETERNALLY UNCLAIMED

There are six other undeclared winning tickets in the Cornhusker state, with prizes ranging from $5,000 to $22,000.

Some lottery prizes sit longer than others, while others remain unclaimed forever.

For example, $390,000 is the largest unclaimed prize that the Nebraska Lottery currently has.

But its claim date of February 5 just passed.

The U.S. Sun has previously covered cases like these of unclaimed lotteries.

If a jackpot prize goes unclaimed within the state’s required time limit, the money is kept by the lottery jurisdiction, and the earnings are used for different purposes.

Every year, across the nation billions of dollars go unclaimed from lottery winnings.
