Bellevue considers increasing pay for paramedics to retain workforce

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – There’s a growing need for paramedics in Bellevue. “One of our captains who 10 years ago tried out, there were 2,300 applicants,” said Bellevue Volunteer Fire Department Chief Perry Guido. “Now, we’re down to the point in Bellevue (where) there are only 80 people who try out.”
