While Omaha froze, most of world experienced warmest January on record

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Although temperatures were generally well below normal here in Omaha, last month was the warmest January on record globally. The average global air temperature was 55.65°, which is 1.26° above the 1991-2020 average. January 2024 was also 0.22° above January 2020, the previous warmest January on record.
