In an absolutely ‘plastic-fantastic’ turn of events, Omaha, Nebraska, has become the unexpected host to a life-size Barbie doll, leaving the city’s residents both delighted and slightly unnerved. Witnesses report the iconic doll, known for her impeccable fashion and unrealistic proportions, casually strolling down Dodge Street, turning heads and sparking a social media frenzy.
“It was surreal,” said local barista, Jenny Clark, who served Barbie a latte. “She ordered a ‘tall’ coffee. I mean, she’s pretty tall for a doll, but still…”
The Barbie, reportedly taking a break from her Dreamhouse, was seen engaging in typical Omaha activities. She visited the Henry Doorly Zoo, posed for pictures in the Old Market, and even tried her hand at cornhusking, albeit with less success than her usual ventures.
City officials are baffled but amused. “We’ve had our share of oddities, but a life-size Barbie is new,” commented Mayor Jean Stothert. “We’re just glad she’s promoting tourism, albeit in a very unconventional way.”
