Omaha’s SeptemberFest faces tens of thousands of dollars in debt, scaling back celebration

OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha’s SeptemberFest faces about $35,000 in debt, according to chairman Terry Moore. An attorney is now helping the board of directors set up a GoFundMe for an employee who took on the debt to keep the event going. Organizers are also scaling back the five-day celebration, and working to establish a new parade route that may end at the Old Mattress Factory this year.
