Nebraska couple sentenced for defrauding elderly Kentucky woman

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – A Nebraska couple received a federal sentence for their role in an interstate fraud scheme. Kenneth Breyer, 75, and Edith Breyer, 74, both of Gretna, were each sentenced to five years on federal probation for “conducting an unlicensed money transmitting business,” acting U.S. Attorney Susan T. Lehr announced Wednesday. They were also ordered to pay $55,000 in restitution.
