Nebraska man charged for kidnapping South Dakota girl

SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO) — A Bellevue, Nebraska man has been charged in federal court for kidnapping a 13-year-old Meade County girl.

According to a news release, a federal grand jury has indicted Sean Payne, 33, on a handful of charges, including kidnapping, exploitation and enticement of a minor.

Authorities say he met the victim on the internet, drove to Meade County to pick her up and then took her to Wyoming. That’s where authorities caught up with him and made an arrest.

Payne made his first federal court appearance Monday in Rapid City.
