“This group had 13 rigorous weeks in the academy. They did every basic firefighter skill that they needed to learn. They practiced their EMS skills and they’re ready to hit the streets and start performing,” said Chief Kathy Bossman.
With this new class, the fire department is overstaffed. It’s a contrast to the police department graduation last month. 27 new officers received their badge, but staffing levels are still down…
