The Creighton Bluejays are 0-4 in the Big East Tournament title game since joining the conference in 2013. After a 15-5 regular season and a second-place finish, Greg McDermott’s team is one win away from finally capturing the crown at Madison Square Garden, but will likely have to do it without freshman guard Fedor Zugic.
In the first half against the regular season Big East champs St. John’s on Saturday evening, Zugic rolled his ankle and had to be helped off the floor. Zugic has seen an increased role throughout the Big East Tournament, playing 25 minutes in Creighton’s double-overtime quarterfinal win over DePaul on Thursday.
