Nebraska AG targets 104 Omaha stores in new Delta 8 crackdown

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Nebraska Attorney General Mike Hilgers announced new enforcement efforts against Delta 8 THC retailers in Omaha during a Thursday morning press conference.

Hilgers said cease-and-desist letters have been sent to 104 stores in the metro area, claiming “not one store was following the law.” The action follows similar efforts in Norfolk, where Hilgers previously took legal steps against THC retailers.

“We promised that we would escalate our fight, and today are fulfilling that promise. Operating in Nebraska’s largest city does not immunize you from the law. These stores are selling harmful and unlawful products despite being on notice. Because of that, once litigation ensues, we will seek penalties to the fullest extent of the law, and will refer for criminal prosecution when necessary,” stated Attorney General Hilgers…
