Winnebago man sentenced for assault

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A Winnebago man was sentenced for assault on Thursday.

The Department of Justice announced that 36-year-old Gabriel Lee Rice was sentenced in federal court in Omaha for assault resulting in substantial bodily injury. A U.S. district judge sentenced Rice to 2 years and 6 months in prison. There is no parole in the federal system.
