ELKHORN, Neb. (WOWT) – The Waschkowski family moved to the area two weeks before last years destructive tornado. It swept away most of their belongings, including a book that meant a lot to their son.
“Storm of Spirit: A Child’s Story of Surviving and Sharing” by Nancy Martin-Rouse was 7 year old Harrison Waschkowski’s favorite bedtime story. The book tells the story of a young boy who loses his home in a tornado, similar to the one Harrison and his family survived.
