Valley again flushing water system, this time to clear sediment

VALLEY, Neb. (WOWT) – About six weeks after responding to reports of water discoloration, Valley officials are again flushing the system.

In April, the discoloration was attributed to the city flushing hydrants. This time, they say the dirty looking water is the result of an “event” in the system.

“A significant disturbance in the water distribution system caused sediment to mix into water lines,” Thursday’s news release from the Valley mayor’s office states…
